MAIN PURPOSE: Shorten a cable that is too long
Shorten a charger or headphone cable that is too long without coiling it: fold a loop of the excess and press both strands into the two side slots, which run in opposite directions so the cable takes an S-turn and holds. No unplugging, no ties, and sliding it along sets the length.

MAIN PURPOSE: Rest an open fountain pen without rolling
A low rest for fountain pens and brushes: lay a pen across one of the two cradles and the nib stays off the desk and the barrel cannot roll, so an uncapped pen can wait between sentences. Small enough to sit beside the notebook all day.

MAIN PURPOSE: Lock pen cups together in any arrangement
The tall member of the Locktile system: a pen or brush cup with the same jigsaw outline, so cups lock to each other and into a field of Locktile Trivet tiles. Build a honeycomb desk caddy that lifts as one piece, then unclip a cup to carry it away.

MAIN PURPOSE: Hold sliding desk modules in a captive rail
A desk rail that carriages ride in: a 240 mm channel open at both ends with an inward ledge along each long wall. Carriage pieces slide in from an end with their flanges under the ledges, so they glide along to wherever you want them but cannot tip out or be knocked off.

MAIN PURPOSE: Fan letters and cards apart in seven slots
A letter and card fan drawn from the traveller’s palm, whose leaves open in one flat plane. Seven petioles rise from one root and splay apart, so every letter, card or bill drops into its own V, leans at its own angle and stays readable at a glance.

MAIN PURPOSE: Stand a phone or tablet at three angles by turning it
A phone and tablet stand after the dreikanter, a stone the desert wind grinds into three faces. Rest it on any face and the device stands in the groove of the next: 50 degrees for typing, 60 for video, 70 for reading. Turning the stone is the adjustment.

A pen pot built like an Iron Age broch, whose double walls hid a gallery between them. Pens and pencils stand in the central tower, and the 14 mm ring between the walls takes rulers, scissors, a letter opener and chopsticks, so flat tools never fall over or hide among the pens.

The coping course for a Bond Brick wall. It caps the top bricks like the coping on a garden wall, closing the cores you are not using, and on top it carries a slot that stands a phone or a stack of cards upright plus a shallow tray in front for clips and a USB stick.

MAIN PURPOSE: Guide desk cables through a lake monster's humps
A loch monster that keeps your cables in line. Its head and neck rise from a 9 mm waterline at one end, three humps arch along the desk and a tail flicks up at the other; thread charging cables through the humps and they stay put. Folklore, cable management and a smile in one 222 mm piece.

MAIN PURPOSE: Tilt split keyboard halves for neutral wrists
Set a wedge under the outer edge of each half of a split keyboard: the 16 degree slope rolls your forearms towards a handshake position, which eases wrist and forearm strain, and the lip at the low end stops the keyboard sliding off. Print two or four.
