Preview of Pen-blank rack
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Store wooden and acrylic pen-turning blanks upright by species
Pen turners collect blanks like stamps: olive, padauk, burl, acrylic swirls. This rack stands them upright in eight bays by species, with the end grain showing so you can choose at a glance, and a label strip for the stock list. It sits by the lathe.

Multi-part assembly
MAIN PURPOSE: File wood-burning tips by shape
A slotted box for wood-burning pen tips. Eight narrow slots keep the shaders, writers, spoons and ball tips apart, so their faces don't chip against each other, and each one can be picked out by shape. The lid reminds you: COLD TIPS ONLY.

Preview of Spoon Blank
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple
MAIN PURPOSE: Mark out a carving spoon blank
Lay the template on a split green-wood blank with the notches on the grain line and draw round it: you get a well-proportioned eating spoon, a 46 mm bowl on a 190 mm handle, ready to axe and carve, and every spoon in a set comes out the same size.

Preview of Sheet Mule
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple
MAIN PURPOSE: Carry big sheets of board single-handed
Carry a full sheet of plywood or plasterboard on your own: hook the bottom edge into the J, stand the sheet on edge against your side and lift by the top handle. Your arm hangs straight, the board stays vertical and the sheet no longer needs two people or a wide arm span.

Preview of Rim Taper
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Read bowl wall thickness at the lathe
Slide the tapered slot onto the rim of a bowl with the lathe stopped: it stops where the gap matches the wall, and the engraved number beside that point reads the thickness, from 12 down to 3 mm, without fetching callipers. Long jaws reach 90 mm down over a lip.

Preview of Offset pencil marking gauge
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Draw lines parallel to a board edge
Hook the fence over a board edge and run a pencil in one of the six holes: they sit 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 mm from the fence, so you draw a parallel line for a rebate, a hinge or a row of screws in one stroke without measuring twice. Print it as shown, then turn it over so the floor becomes the top.

Preview of Honing guide projection jig
By Krypto
Complexity
Advanced
MAIN PURPOSE: Set honing guide projection repeatably
Hook a side-clamp honing guide over the low front wall and slide the blade forward until it touches a stop block: the four stepped blocks set 32, 38, 42 and 50 mm of projection, the settings for 25 and 30 degree bevels on plane irons and chisels in an Eclipse-pattern guide. Every resharpening lands on the same angle.

Preview of V centre finder for turning blanks
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple
MAIN PURPOSE: Find the centre of round stock
Press a round turning blank, a dowel or a log end into the 90 degree V and draw along the blade, whose edge lies exactly on the bisector; turn the blank a quarter and draw again. The lines cross at the true centre, ready for the drive spur, a chuck or a drill.

Preview of Cambered glue-up cauls
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple (set)
MAIN PURPOSE: Clamp panel glue-ups evenly across their width
Each caul has a 1.5 mm crown along its working face: clamp a pair across a panel at the ends and the crown presses the middle first, so the whole joint closes evenly instead of gaping in the centre. Print four, two for each side of the panel.

Preview of Kerf-keeper wedge
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple (set)
MAIN PURPOSE: Stop a saw kerf closing on the blade
When ripping a long board by hand, tap the wedge into the kerf behind the saw: it holds the cut open from 1.5 to 6 mm, so the wood cannot close and pinch the blade, and the saw keeps running free and straight to the end of the cut.
