MAIN PURPOSE: Add an open tray to a linked riser display
An open member of the Terrace system: the step outline printed the right way up as a 30 mm tray, so a row of risers can include a well for rings, lip balms or a candle dish. It locks to the steps on either side with the same dovetails.

MAIN PURPOSE: Hold sliding desk modules in a captive rail
A desk rail that carriages ride in: a 240 mm channel open at both ends with an inward ledge along each long wall. Carriage pieces slide in from an end with their flanges under the ledges, so they glide along to wherever you want them but cannot tip out or be knocked off.

MAIN PURPOSE: Show a swappable square picture on a modular wall
The picture tile of the Tessera wall: a 100 mm keyholed plate with grooves on three sides, so a 90 mm square photo, postcard or child drawing slides in from the top and swaps in seconds. Mix frames with pockets and hooks on the same grid.

MAIN PURPOSE: Hang things on a lattice that opens to any width
An accordion peg rack you assemble: print eight 150 mm links, cross them in pairs and bolt through the three holes with M4 bolts and nylock nuts. The lattice opens from 200 to 600 mm and the bolt heads at the top joints become pegs for mugs, keys or hats.

MAIN PURPOSE: Twist stacked discs into a changing sculpture
A sculpture you play with: oval discs with an off-centre hole thread onto an 8 mm dowel. Turn each a few degrees past the last and the stack twists into a helix; push them about and it becomes a wave, a fan or a column. The Swivel Post socket makes a ready base.

MAIN PURPOSE: Store coasters as a stack that fans into a flower
Coasters that fan out: teardrops with a pivot hole in the tip stack on the Petal Stem. Closed, they are one neat teardrop; swing them round and six coasters open into a flower on the table, ready to hand out.

MAIN PURPOSE: Flip a cascade of photos with one tilt
A Jacob's ladder for photos: six framed tiles joined by ribbon lattice so that tipping the top tile makes the next seem to cascade down the chain, flipping each picture over. Glue three 10 mm ribbons per joint, alternating sides; the recess holds a 66 x 91 mm print.

MAIN PURPOSE: Stand hot pans on lily-pad ribs
A trivet built like the underside of a giant Amazon water lily. Victoria pads carry a child on a thin leaf because twelve radial ribs and rings of cross veins stiffen it; here the same ribs stand up, so a hot pan touches only their edges and air runs underneath.

MAIN PURPOSE: Stand a place card or photo in a stone fissure
A place card holder modelled on lithops, the living stones of southern Africa: two fleshy lobes split by a fissure where new leaves grow. The fissure is the slot, so each guest card appears to sprout from the stone, and the open lobes take a few pebbles for weight or a sugared almond for each guest.

MAIN PURPOSE: Hold an avocado stone over water to sprout
A collar for growing an avocado from its stone without toothpicks. Rest the ring on any glass 70 to 85 mm across, press the stone into the centre pointed end up and the three tongues grip it with its base in the water. The slit lets the ring flex as the stone splits and the root grows.
