Preview of Sim-racing button box
By Krypto
Complexity
Multi-part assembly
MAIN PURPOSE: House toggles, encoders and a start button for sim racing
A labelled control panel for sim racing. The top row takes four 12 mm toggles (IGN, PIT, WIPER, LIGHTS), with two rotary encoders for ABS and TC and a 22 mm START button below. The 3 mm front is thin enough for the switch nuts. The lid closes the back over a microcontroller, and the cable leaves through a port at the rear.

Preview of Wire Meet
By Krypto
Complexity
Advanced
MAIN PURPOSE: Hold two wires end to end for soldering
Feed the two wires to be joined through matching holes in the end walls and the two inner walls until the stripped ends meet in the middle bay: they are held straight, level and end to end, so you can twist or lap them and solder with both hands free. Two hole sizes suit thin and medium wire.

Preview of SMD cut-tape strip feeder
By Krypto
Complexity
Advanced
MAIN PURPOSE: Feed SMD parts from cut tape during assembly
Lay short strips of 8 mm component tape in the nine lanes and peel the cover back: resistors and capacitors stay in their pockets, in order and labelled, while tweezers reach over the low front wall. Hand assembly of a board goes lane by lane without spilling a single 0805.

Preview of Servo angle protractor
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Measure and set servo angles
Lay the disc on the servo with the output shaft through the centre and fit the horn on top: the horn points to the engraved angles from 0 to 180 degrees, so you can centre a servo, check its real travel and set end stops before building it into a robot arm.

Preview of DIP chip leg straightener
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Straighten DIP chip legs to row spacing
New DIP chips arrive with their legs splayed. Press one legs down into the 0.3 inch channel, or a wide chip into the 0.6 inch channel beside it, and rock it once: both rows bend to the exact row spacing and drop straight into a socket or breadboard.

Preview of Stripboard track cutter handle
By Krypto
Complexity
Advanced
MAIN PURPOSE: Cut copper tracks on stripboard
Push a 6 mm drill bit shank first into the socket and the handle turns it into a track cutter: set the point in a stripboard hole and twist, and the copper track is cut cleanly through without a drill or a craft knife lifting the copper.

Preview of Optical encoder slot wheel
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple
MAIN PURPOSE: Count wheel turns on a small robot
Press it onto the double-flat shaft of a yellow TT gear motor and let the teeth run through a slotted optical sensor: each tooth is one pulse, so a small robot can count wheel turns, drive set distances and keep two wheels at the same speed.

Preview of Ribbon cable 45-degree fold tray
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple
MAIN PURPOSE: Fold ribbon cable into clean right-angle turns
Lay a 40-way ribbon cable in the tray and fold it back over one of the 45 degree end walls: the crease comes out at exactly 45 degrees, so the cable turns a clean right angle inside a case instead of twisting or bunching against the lid.

Preview of 18650 pack-building spacer, 4 x 2
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium (set)
MAIN PURPOSE: Space 18650 cells for building a battery pack
Holds eight 18650 cells upright at a 20 mm pitch with a 1 mm web between them, so a battery pack can be laid out, spot-welded and wrapped with every cell parallel and an air gap for cooling. Print two, one for each end of the pack.

Preview of Two-wheel robot chassis plate
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Build a small hobby robot
A base plate for a small two-wheel robot: the wheels sit in the side slots, a ball caster goes through the front hole, and the four small holes take a microcontroller board, with a cable hole in the middle.
