MAIN PURPOSE: Clamp work to the bench in a quarter turn
Bolt the cam to the bench through its off-centre hole with an M8 bolt, set the work against a stop and swing the lever: the cam's growing radius wedges the piece tight in a quarter turn, and a flick back releases it. Two cams and a batten make a quick planing or routing fixture.

MAIN PURPOSE: Hold pipe clamps steady during a glue-up
Four risers hold 3/4 inch pipe clamps upright and off the bench in a cradle, the same height every time: the clamps stop rolling over, the panel sits level on the bars, and there is room below for squeeze-out and for slipping in the next clamp.

MAIN PURPOSE: Lift wall sheets into place with your foot
Slide the thin toe under a sheet of plasterboard or panelling and step on the back of the lever: the round fulcrum lifts the sheet about 20 mm and holds it tight against the one above while both hands are free to drive the screws.

MAIN PURPOSE: Wipe brushes without filling the lid groove
Clip it onto the rim of a paint tin: you wipe the brush on the arm, which hangs inside the tin, so the excess runs back into the paint instead of filling the lid groove. The lid then seals properly and no dried paint flakes fall in when you open it next time.

MAIN PURPOSE: Sand mouldings without rounding their profiles
One block with three working edges: a half-round bead for coves and flutes, a concave cove for round-overs and dowels, and a sharp 90 degree point for inside corners. Wrap a strip of sandpaper round the edge you need and the profile stays crisp instead of being rounded over by your fingers.

MAIN PURPOSE: Paint straight edges without masking tape
Hold the 220 mm straight edge against a ceiling line, skirting or window frame and paint right up to it: the shield keeps the brush off the next surface, faster than taping, and its handle keeps your knuckles out of the paint. Wipe the edge clean as you move along.

Press it onto the double-flat shaft of a yellow TT gear motor and let the teeth run through a slotted optical sensor: each tooth is one pulse, so a small robot can count wheel turns, drive set distances and keep two wheels at the same speed.

Lay a 40-way ribbon cable in the tray and fold it back over one of the 45 degree end walls: the crease comes out at exactly 45 degrees, so the cable turns a clean right angle inside a case instead of twisting or bunching against the lid.

Snaps onto the power cord of a drill press or lathe and holds the chuck key by its shank beside the plug: you have to take the key out to unplug the machine, and it is always within reach when you need it.

MAIN PURPOSE: Fit Gridfinity magnets with matching polarity
Stack a column of 6 x 2 mm magnets in the tube: they line up north to south by themselves, so the bottom one always shows the same pole. Press the tube over a bin's magnet pocket, push the stack down with a pencil and slide away, and every bin in the drawer gets the same polarity.
