Preview of Self-centring dowelling jig for 18 mm board
By Krypto
Complexity
Advanced
MAIN PURPOSE: Drill centred dowel holes in board edges
Drop the jig over the edge of 18 mm board: the two fences straddle it, so the guide holes sit dead centre on the edge, 32 mm apart, and the double guide plates keep an 8 mm bit square. Drill both parts from their face side and the dowels line up every time. Print it as shown, then turn it over so the floor becomes the top.

Preview of Hand tap square-start guide
By Krypto
Complexity
Advanced
MAIN PURPOSE: Start hand taps square to the work
Clamp or hold the block over a drilled hole and start the tap through the matching guide: two plates 30 mm apart keep an M3, M4, M5 or M6 tap square to the work for the first turns, the moment where most crooked threads and snapped taps happen.

Preview of Threaded rod cutting guide
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Cut threaded rod square without damaging threads
Run a nut onto M6, M8 or M10 threaded rod, push the rod down through the guide to your mark and saw along the slot between the two plates: the cut comes out square and the thread is supported right up to the blade, and backing the nut off over the end re-forms the first thread.

Preview of Square-head bench dogs
By Krypto
Complexity
Advanced (set)
MAIN PURPOSE: Fence and square work on a dog-hole bench
A 19 mm peg for 20 mm dog holes with a square head whose four flat faces each sit exactly 20 mm from the peg centre: two dogs make a fence parallel to the hole grid, three make a square corner, and the flat faces spread the pressure instead of denting edges like round dogs.

Preview of Plasterboard foot lifter
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple
MAIN PURPOSE: Lift wall sheets into place with your foot
Slide the thin toe under a sheet of plasterboard or panelling and step on the back of the lever: the round fulcrum lifts the sheet about 20 mm and holds it tight against the one above while both hands are free to drive the screws.

Preview of 608 bearing press-in driver
By Krypto
Complexity
Advanced
MAIN PURPOSE: Press bearings in without damaging them
Presses a 608 skateboard bearing into a hub or housing by its outer race only: the narrow 1.5 mm rim bears on the race while the 19 mm opening clears the shield and inner race. Tap the solid end with a mallet and the bearing goes in square without brinelling its balls.

Preview of Paint tin rim wiper clip
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple
MAIN PURPOSE: Wipe brushes without filling the lid groove
Clip it onto the rim of a paint tin: you wipe the brush on the arm, which hangs inside the tin, so the excess runs back into the paint instead of filling the lid groove. The lid then seals properly and no dried paint flakes fall in when you open it next time.

Preview of Profile sanding block
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple
MAIN PURPOSE: Sand mouldings without rounding their profiles
One block with three working edges: a half-round bead for coves and flutes, a concave cove for round-overs and dowels, and a sharp 90 degree point for inside corners. Wrap a strip of sandpaper round the edge you need and the profile stays crisp instead of being rounded over by your fingers.

Preview of Cut-in edge shield
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple
MAIN PURPOSE: Paint straight edges without masking tape
Hold the 220 mm straight edge against a ceiling line, skirting or window frame and paint right up to it: the shield keeps the brush off the next surface, faster than taping, and its handle keeps your knuckles out of the paint. Wipe the edge clean as you move along.

Preview of Knife-edge spray turntable
By Krypto
Complexity
Multi-part assembly
MAIN PURPOSE: Spray parts all round without touching them
Parts sit on eight thin ribs instead of a flat floor, so overspray never glues them down and their undersides stay clean; the base spins on BBs, so you turn the part while spraying instead of walking round it.
