MAIN PURPOSE: Draw large circles without a beam compass
Pin the end hole to the paper with a drawing pin, put a pencil tip in the hole for 30 to 180 mm radius and swing: big circles for diagrams, posters and signs that an ordinary compass cannot reach.

MAIN PURPOSE: Weigh letters without an electronic scale
Hang the scale on a drawing pin through the top hole, clip a letter to the arm with a bulldog clip and read the swing against a plumb thread: up to 100 g, enough for every letter rate. Calibrate the marks once with coins (a 1p weighs 3.56 g).

MAIN PURPOSE: Fold A4 letters into even thirds
Lay an A4 letter face down with its top edge against the lip, fold the bottom up over the board edge, turn it over and fold the top down: the board is exactly 99 mm deep, so the thirds come out even and the letter drops cleanly into a DL envelope.

MAIN PURPOSE: Keep a pen attached to a notebook
Slide the slot onto the edge of a hardcover notebook and snap your pen into the ring: the pen travels with the notebook, clipped along its edge, instead of rolling around the bottom of the bag. Fits 3 to 3.5 mm covers and 9 to 11 mm pens.

Push the sheet against the corner stops and run a bone folder down the groove for your size: the four grooves sit at exactly half of A7 to A4, so every card, invitation and booklet folds dead centre, with a crisp crease.

Jog a stack of A6 sheets into the channel so the top edge stands 10 mm proud, clamp the walls with two bulldog clips and brush on padding glue: when it dries you have a tear-off notepad made from scrap paper.

Stand the two V-shaped ends under an open book: the 120 degree cradle supports the covers so the spine is not forced flat, and both pages face the camera for scanning or photographing a fragile book. Print two.

Slide a protector onto each corner of a hardback before you wrap it for the post: the corner sits in a sleeve that covers both boards and both edges, so books stop arriving with crushed corners. Fits books up to 28 mm thick. Print four.
