Preview of Catalogue Pull
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Pull and label a drawer in one fitting
A library-card-catalogue cup pull with the label built in: the closed front carries an engraved word such as SPICES, fingers hook into the open underside, and it bolts on from inside the drawer with two M4 bolts whose nuts you tighten through the opening. Turns plain flat-pack drawers into a labelled cabinet.

Preview of Bleed Cup
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Catch the water when bleeding radiators
Hold it under the radiator valve with the key through the front notch: the cup catches the hiss of air and the spurt of dirty water while you open the valve, instead of a towel and a jam jar. Between uses the radiator key lives in the side holster, so it is never lost.

Preview of Mend Card
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Carry a needle and thread in the wallet
A credit-card sized mending kit for the wallet: wind black, white and navy thread between the edge notches, weave two needles through the tiny holes and tuck the end of each thread into the side slit. A lost button or split seam on a trip gets fixed in five minutes.

Preview of Arc Rider
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Turn a tape measure into a big compass
Slide the clip onto a tape measure blade and push a pencil through the side ring: hook the tape over a nail at the centre point, lock it at the radius you want and swing it, and the pencil draws circles and arcs as large as the tape is long, for arches, round tables and garden beds.

Preview of Rim Taper
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Read bowl wall thickness at the lathe
Slide the tapered slot onto the rim of a bowl with the lathe stopped: it stops where the gap matches the wall, and the engraved number beside that point reads the thickness, from 12 down to 3 mm, without fetching callipers. Long jaws reach 90 mm down over a lip.

Preview of Skewer Gallery
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Dry painted small parts without touching
Thread small painted parts, beads or model pieces onto bamboo skewers and lay the skewers across through the paired holes in the end walls: everything dries hanging in mid-air, touching nothing, the tray below catches drips, and four rods hold dozens of parts.

Preview of Meridiana
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Mark solar noon and the season with a sun spot
A cathedral meridian line in miniature for a sunny windowsill. Turn the tall wall due south: at solar noon its pinhole throws a spot of sunlight onto the floor rib, and where the spot lands on the engraved marks tells the season, from the high June sun near the wall to the low autumn sun at the back.

Preview of FitzRoy Tower
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: House and read a storm glass weather vial
A tower for a 25 mm Victorian storm glass vial. The vial stands inside behind two tall windows, so light passes through and the crystals read clearly, and the side wall carries the old reading key: clear for fair, cloudy for rain, stars for cold and snow.

Preview of Portico Clock
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Tell the time on a mantel or shelf
A mantel clock in the shape of a round-headed portico. Fit a standard quartz movement behind the face through the 8 mm hole, four small pierced dots mark the quarters, and the hollow back hides the movement and its battery; it stands on its own stepped plinth.

Preview of Ziggurat Deck
By Krypto
Complexity
Medium
MAIN PURPOSE: Draw and display a card of the day
A daily card stand for tarot, affirmation or prompt decks. The deck lies in the low front well with a thumb notch, and the card you draw stands in the tall slot behind, so the card of the day is on show and the rest of the deck stays squared and dust-free.
