MAIN PURPOSE: Balance a crescent on a fingertip
A crescent that balances on a fingertip by its nose. The arch weighs more below the tip than above it, so it tips, swings and always returns level; press an M8 nut into each horn pad and it stands on a pencil point or the Fulcrum Stand tip. A desk object that explains centre of mass without a word.

MAIN PURPOSE: Hold a balance beam on a knife-edge pivot
The pivot for a desk lever lab: a lambda frame of 9 mm legs rising to a rounded knife tip, standing on two foot bars. The Fulcrum Beam rests its arch on the tip, so the pivot sits above the beam and it swings and settles like a real balance. The tip also carries the Moonbalance crescent.

MAIN PURPOSE: Show balancing moments with coins and clips
A 249 mm balance beam whose central bridge arch sits on the Fulcrum Stand tip, 18 mm above the beam line so it always swings back level. Eight V notches at matched distances hold paper clips loaded with coins: put two coins at 32 mm and one at 64 mm on the other side and watch the moments cancel.

MAIN PURPOSE: Carry a marble run between rail levels
A drop-shaft tower for a marble run: rails push into eight windows, four facing right and four left at staggered heights. A marble rolls down a rail, falls inside the shaft and lands on the next rail end, which carries it back the other way. Two identical pylons 180 mm apart make the zig-zag; ballast the unused base.

Simple (set)
MAIN PURPOSE: Roll marbles between marble run pylons
The track for the Rillway run: a 230 mm open channel with filleted sides for a 16 mm marble, closed at one end and open at the other. Push the closed end into a high pylon window and the open end into a lower window on the facing pylon, so the stop catches each falling marble and the open end drops it on.

MAIN PURPOSE: Collect marbles at the end of the run
The finish line of the Rillway run: a deep filleted cup with one side wall lowered to 22 mm so the last rail rests on it, open end inside. Marbles drop in, roll round the curved floor and stay put for the next go. FINISH is engraved on the front.

Preview of Voussoir Wedge
By Krypto
Complexity
Simple
MAIN PURPOSE: Build a self-supporting arch from nine blocks
One stone of a self-supporting arch: print nine of these 20 degree wedges, lay them over the Voussoir Centring, drop in the last as the keystone and pull the centring out. Nothing holds the arch but compression, exactly as in a Roman bridge. The hollow side faces the back.

Simple
MAIN PURPOSE: Support arch blocks while the arch is built
The temporary form an arch is built on: a solid semicircular rib with foot pads, sized so nine Voussoir Wedges sit on it. Stand it up, lay the wedges from both ends, set the keystone, then slide the centring out sideways and watch the arch carry itself.

Simple (set)
MAIN PURPOSE: Separate two linked rings through hidden slots
A two-piece disentanglement puzzle: identical 60 mm rings, each with a slot that doglegs through the band. Link them and the slots never line up by accident; there is one turn and slide that frees them. Print two in contrasting colours, and the first move is linking them yourself.

Simple (set)
MAIN PURPOSE: Join two pen cups with a sliding dovetail
Two identical pen cups that slide together on a dovetail into one 80 mm square block, the way Japanese joinery locks timbers. Turn one cup round, lower it onto the other and the tail drops into the socket; lift one off to share it across the desk.
