Moonbalance

Balance a crescent on a fingertip

A crescent that balances on a fingertip by its nose. The arch weighs more below the tip than above it, so it tips, swings and always returns level; press an M8 nut into each horn pad and it stands on a pencil point or the Fulcrum Stand tip. A desk object that explains centre of mass without a word.
