Turn a drinking glass into a display dome

A 96 mm plinth with a groove that takes the rim of an upturned drinking glass: any tumbler from 82 to 90 mm across becomes a dust-tight dome over a figure, a pocket watch or a fossil, and the groove stops the glass sliding when the shelf is dusted.
