Two-climate fridge crisper

Keep greens and ripening fruit apart in the fridge drawer

Two climates in one fridge drawer. Leafy greens and herbs go in the closed side, where the lid keeps their own moisture in so they stay crisp. Apples, pears, tomatoes and avocados go in the open side behind cut-out walls, so the ethylene gas they give off as they ripen drifts away instead of being shut in with the greens, where it makes them yellow and wilt.

What’s in it

  • Rectangular, 140 × 200 × 90 mm, with 2.0 mm walls
  • Engraved text: “GREENS”
  • 1 patterned wall panel (cut-out)
  • Friction-fit lid (prints separately)
  • One more base built on (Base B)
  • Base B: rectangular, 100 × 200 mm, 90 mm tall (beside)

How to print it

PLA is fine in the fridge; wash it by hand, not in the dishwasher. Sized for a fridge drawer 100 mm deep.

Prints as shown on its floor, no supports. The friction-fit lid and its neck piece print separately; adjust Fit in the Lid tab if it binds.

Filament: at most about 627 g of PLA printed solid (roughly $12.55 at $20 per kg); normal infill uses less.

To get the files, open it in the generator and choose File › Download STL (one file per part) or Download 3MF (a 3MF per part, plus a Bambu Studio / Orca Slicer project with every part on its own plate).
