Stackable knife drawer box with lid

Keep small kitchen knives apart, with their blades covered, in a slim box that stacks in a drawer.

A slim 230 × 100 × 30 mm knife box for the kitchen drawer. Four narrow lanes at one end hold the blades side by side, so edges never knock together or catch your fingers, and the handles rest in the open end, ready to grab. It suits paring, utility, steak and small serrated knives up to about 22 cm long. The flat lid sits inside the rim to cover the blades, with a large round finger hole to lift it off, and gold “Knives” lettering on top. With the lid on, a second box stacks neatly on top in a deep drawer. Print it in PETG: it handles warm kitchens and wipes clean with a damp cloth.

What’s in it

  • Rectangular, 230 × 100 × 28 mm, with 2.0 mm walls
  • 3 dividers in a grid layout
  • 1 hole in the lid
  • Raised text: “Knives”
  • Lift-off lid (prints separately)

How to print it

Print the box and the lid as separate parts, flat side down, with no supports. For PETG, a thin layer of glue stick helps the lid release from the plate. If the lid fits too tight, scale it to 99% in your slicer. Always put knives in blade-first into the lanes.

Prints as shown on its floor, no supports. The lid prints as a separate part, top down.

Filament: at most about 205 g of PLA printed solid (roughly $4.11 at $20 per kg); normal infill uses less.

To get the files, open it in the generator and choose File › Download STL (one file per part) or Download 3MF (a 3MF per part, plus a Bambu Studio / Orca Slicer project with every part on its own plate).
