Halyard Block

Seat board corners on rope for a hanging shelf

A corner block for a rope-hung shelf. The board corner sits in the L of the block, the rope runs down the tube on its side and a knot below holds it: four blocks and two ropes hang a plain board from a hook without drilling it, and they turn to suit each corner.
