Grip Chevron

Wedge and twist open tight jars

Screw the plate under a wall cupboard or shelf with the V facing out: push a stubborn jar lid up into the toothed V until it wedges, then turn the jar with both hands. The narrowing jaw grips lids from 20 to 100 mm, so anyone with weak or sore hands can open jars without a gadget in the drawer.
