Bloom Ring

Build a ring that expands and contracts

One link of an expanding ring: two 50 mm arms kinked at 150 degrees. Pin twelve pairs at their kinks and join the pairs end to end with M3 screws, and the ring breathes from a tight crown to a ring twice as wide when you pull it open. A kinetic centrepiece and a lesson in angulated scissors.
