Band-weaving rigid heddle

Weave narrow bands and straps by hand

A Sami-style heddle with nine slots and eight holes: thread the warp alternately and lift or lower the heddle to open the two sheds, weaving narrow bands, straps and belts on the lap with the warp tied to a belt. Seventeen warp ends make a 2 to 3 cm band.
