Automaton Stage
Turn a crank to make cam-driven figures move
The frame of a cam automaton: push an 8 mm dowel through the side holes as a camshaft, thread on three Helix Spindle discs printed at half size, and drop 6 mm dowels through the top holes so they ride on the cams. Turn the crank and the rods bob in sequence, ready to carry paper or printed figures.
