Gridshell Hoop

Hold a flexible lattice in its shell shape

The ring that turns the Gridshell Mesh into a bowl. Its 154 mm opening is smaller than the 220 mm lattice, so pushing the mesh in forces it into a shell, while the open floor lets the curve dip lower and crumbs fall through. The hoop alone also stands a round loaf or melon.
