Cast a plaster block with toy fossils for children to excavate

A mould for a home palaeontology dig. Toy dinosaur bones go in, plaster goes over them, and once set the block lifts out ready to be excavated with a brush and a spoon. DIG is moulded on the front. It is reusable for every birthday party.

How to print it

Drop toy bones in, pour plaster with a little sand, leave 24 hours, then lift the block out by the lid and dig with a brush.

Prints as shown on its floor, no supports. The lid prints as a separate part, top down.

Filament: at most about 213 g of PLA printed solid (roughly $4.25 at $20 per kg); normal infill uses less.
