Seed germination test tray

Test how many saved seeds still sprout before sowing

Before sowing a whole bed with last year's saved seed, test it. Put ten seeds on damp paper in each of the four lanes, close the lid to hold the humidity, and count the sprouts: seven out of ten means 70 % germination, so sow a little thicker. The lid is labelled for the job.
